Following last night’s Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame induction in New York City featuring Abyss, current Impact World Champion Austin Aries took the podium and addressed some controversial comments he made in recent weeks on Twitter.
Aries, who has since deleted the tweet, referred to Johnny Impact’s wife (Taya Valkyrie) as being “hefty.” Both Impact and Taya responded to the tweet by Aries in the last week or so, encouraging fans to also put a spotlight on it online as well.
In what appears to be an angle that will likely be featured on tonight’s Bound for Glory PPV, Aries was about to apologize and then brought up how both Impact and Taya went on TMZ Live to “trash his name in public” and “capitalize” on the situation.
As you can see in the video clip posted to Twitter below, Impact jumped out of his seat trying to go after Aries until Impact officials and executives broke it up.
