The Hennepin County Prosecutor’s office in Minnesota announced today that former AWA Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Verne Gagne would not be charged with any crimes in relation to the death of a fellow resident at the Friendship Village assisted living home.
Hennepin County Attorney Michael Freeman Gagne added, “Gagne will not be charged, since because of Gagne’s illness, he is unaware of what happened. Gagne suffers from Dementia, such that it would make it impossible and unjust for him to be held criminally responsible under the law in Minnesota.”
