Former WWE star Brian Lawler arrested in Memphis on Tuesday, Charged with theft of services

WREG Memphis is reporting that former WWE star Brian Lawler (Brian Christopher) was arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly not paying for a hotel room.

According to the police report, Lawler checked into a Hampton Inn with another man named Terry Teague using a company credit card. It was discovered the next day that the credit card used for the hotel room didn’t have sufficient funds.

Lawler and Teague told hotel staff they didn’t have money to pay for the room and were then arrested. WMC Action News 5 in Memphis reported that the total amount of money owed was just over $800. Lawler has been charged with “theft of services.”

Lawler, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler, was released by WWE back in 2004. He has remained active on the independent wrestling scene ever since.
